IT Test Run

This article describes a procedure IT can follow to test basic capabilities of Procision

Scheduling

  1. Login to Procision at app.procision.com

  2. Confirm the organization you are logged into in the upper right corner

  3. Visit the facility case list by clicking Cases in the main nav

  4. Click "Create a new case" and choose a physician to create a case for

  5. Enter patient details:

    1. First name: Test

    2. Last name: Test

    3. Date of Birth: 01/01/1980

  6. Click to Create a new patient (upon creation the new patient will be automatically linked to the case we are creating)

  7. Record the patient MRN, we'll need it later.

  8. Enter the patient primary phone: 555-555-5555

  9. Click save and continue to go to the next page (or click case details in upper left)

  10. Click to choose an anesthesia provider if there is one available

  11. Surgery details:

    1. Enter surgery description: "Left Lumbar Four-Five Discectomy"

    2. Find and add CPT code under Procedures: "63030: LOW BACK DISK SURGERY"

    3. Find and add Diagnosis: "M21.372"

  12. Surgery Date:

    1. Appointment date: select today's date

    2. Appointment time: select about 30 minutes in the future

    3. Expected case length: 30

    4. Operating room: OR 1

  13. Click to save and continue

  14. In the upper right corner change status to Accepted

Charting (Skip this if charting is not enabled for your center)

  1. Click the calendar in the main nav bar

  2. Find the case we created

  3. click to view chart

  4. On the left nav load the pre-operative, operative, post-operative and print chart workflows each in turn to see that they load. Check there are no spinners or errors on any of these pages.

  5. Next click the name of the physician on the left nav bar below print chart to see the provider portal

Billing

  1. Go to Cases in the main nav and select End of Day

  2. Find the case in the list (use the MRN we saved if necessary) and on the right select the drop down to Close Case. Select Completed (or Billable) as status. You can use the MRN to search for the case if needed.

  3. Next go to Billing in the main nav bar at the top. In the search bar enter the patient MRN we saved and open the case that is found

  4. on the Charge Entry screen click to Import Scheduled to the right of Charges

  5. Select the cpt code and then click Import

  6. Do the same to import Diagnosis codes

  7. under ICD-10 click the dropdown to map the diagnosis code to the cpt code

  8. click add new claim

  9. choose self pay

  10. click print
